According to specialized portals, the platform seeks that users can further customize its interface.

WhatsApp, the messaging application owned by Facebook, would be testing a function to have a less rigid interface and in which users have more customization possibilities.

According to the WABetaInfo portal, famous for making successful leaks on the advances of this application, WhatsApp would be developing a new update that would allow changing the colors of some elements of the interface.

The portal assured that the function is in the development stage, but details of what colors it would incorporate or when it would be ready for users are unknown. Even so, WABetainfo revealed some images on its Twitter account that show two different colored WhatsApp texts.

“I hope it is true, the null customization that WhatsApp currently has is what forced many of us to change the app or the third party, since the current options become boring, I hope it is very customizable,” said a Twitter user .

In fact, despite the fact that WhatsApp is one of the most used messaging tools in the world, for some time now some users have moved to other tools that are less private, but with more elements to customize the interface.

This is the case with WhatsApp Plus, an unofficial application that allows you to chat, send photos, emojis and share files, as the Facebook application already does. The platform has functions to change the color of the chats, “disappear” for some contacts and create separate groups. However, it does not have encrypted chats, meaning that a third party could access the messages.

The platform has been emphatic that those who use these unofficial versions will receive a message indicating that their WhatsApp account is “temporarily banned.” If they don’t switch to the official app after being blocked, users may be permanently banned from using WhatsApp.

“Unsupported applications, such as WhatsApp Plus, GB WhatsApp, or applications that claim to move your WhatsApp chats between phones, are modified versions of WhatsApp. These unofficial applications are developed by third parties and violate our Terms of Service. WhatsApp is not compatible with these third-party applications because we cannot validate their security practices, ”the platform indicates on its blog.
