Although the mobile business declines for Huawei, it seems that the laptop business is growing at a good rate in Spain: 25% more than in the previous cycle

Huawei has presented its new laptop Huawei MateBook D 15 on Thursday and has celebrated the great growth of the company in this category during 2020, registering an increase of 250 percent in sales compared to the previous year, according to Jorge Cui Liu, Smart Devices Product Manager of Huawei CBG Spain.

The digitization of homes and businesses, coupled with the upward trend of teleworking or distance education due to the pandemic, have marked a milestone in the need of consumers for more versatile devices and laptops have become one of the most demanded products.

“After closing a year like the last, in which our notebook segment experienced remarkable growth, our goal in 2021 is to continue in the same line of expansion. We want to develop the best technology to meet the needs of our customers, offering devices that they fully meet their expectations “, explains the company executive.

In this context, Huawei prepares in 2021 the arrival of new devices that will integrate the new 11th Generation Intel Core processors, with Huawei MateBook D 15 2021 being the first to reach the Spanish market. Thanks to this update, the device offers 43 percent faster speed than its predecessor.

MATEBOOK D 15: THE NEW HUAWEI LAPTOP

This new terminal is focused on younger consumers, adapting to each of their day-to-day situations: from its use for ‘online’ conferences or viewing multimedia content, to promoting greater productivity in daily work with its powerful processor, its large memory and its new technology compatible with the latest WiFi 6 standard by double antenna, to achieve a higher connection speed.

One of the aspects that the company focuses on is the 15.6-inch screen with a Full HD resolution. The screen-to-body ratio is 87 percent and it has a 16: 9 screen format, “ideal for immersive cinematic experiences,” according to the company itself.

This device includes innovative technologies of the brand, such as the compatibility with the Multi-screen Collaboration function (which allows you to connect a Huawei mobile and work on it on the computer screen), the power button with fingerprint reader fingerprint, the camera integrated in the keyboard for greater security and reverse charging (which allows charging another device), among others.

The display is TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker Free certified, ensuring a more comfortable viewing experience. “Offering a low level of blue light is essential to help reduce eye strain related to prolonged stays in front of the screen”, Huawei experts detail.

1.5 KG WEIGHT AND 16 MM THICK

The size and weight of a laptop is increasingly important, especially now that it has become such an outstanding tool in the daily lives of users. The HUAWEI MateBook D 15 weighs 1.56 kg and is 16.9 mm thick, making it easy to transport. In addition, the range of ports incorporated along the sides of the notebook allows to cover most of the needs of the users during their daily use.

Another point that Huawei works on is security. In this sense, some of the technologies that the company incorporates in this new device are the power button with a fingerprint or the camera integrated into the keyboard.

The fingerprint sensor power-on system allows users to log in more securely, as well as easier and faster. For its part, the retractable camera integrated into the keyboard is designed with the intention of eliminating any possible access to the camera without the consent of the user, completing the security and privacy of the devices.

Huawei MateBook D 15 will be available from next April 8 in the Huawei Store and will gradually be incorporated into the company’s usual sales channels with an official launch price of 949 euros.
